1) Read Romans 12:1-8 and 1 Corinthians 12. How might these passages relate to the concept of "being yourself" or "fitting in"? Based on your reading of these verses, what advice might you give to Meg?

2) At the beginning of Chapter 2, when Meg expresses confusion over the events of the previous evening, Mrs. Murry tells her, "I don't understand it any more than you do, but one thing I've learned is that you don't have to understand things for them to be."

What does she mean? Give some examples of things that you think are difficult to understand, but know are true.

3) Why does the school principal, Mr. Jenkins, want Meg to accept that her father is never coming home? Should Meg believe him? Why or why not?

4) What do you think Calvin means when he says, "Isn't this wonderful? I feel as though I were just being born. I'm not alone anymore!"
